Sheffield South East Trust (SSET) formed in 2016 and unites seven local primary schools. The schools within the Trust work closely together for the benefit of the children and communities they serve. There are many
opportunities for support, training and networking between the schools.
The Hub at Manor Lodge Primary School provides specialist support for pupils in Early Years and Key Stage 1 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Social Communication needs. This provision is designed for children with significant additional needs, some of them have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) issued by the Local Authority.
Our hub offers a nurturing and structured environment where pupils receive tailored support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally. Children access learning within the hub for a substantial part of the week, alongside planned integration opportunities in their mainstream classrooms.
The successful candidate will:
● Deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to individual needs.
● Implement strategies that promote emotional regulation, social communication, and positive relationships.
● Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
● Contribute to the development of bespoke curriculum plans and interventions.
● Maintain accurate records and support the review of EHCP targets.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference for children who require specialist support in their early years of education
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and resilient teacher who has high expectations for all pupils, with direct experience of working with Special Educational needs. The successful candidate will be creative,
inspirational and has the ability to make learning purposeful and relevant – helping our children to raise their aspirations and believe in their own abilities to succeed and shine. The ability to communicate clearly and build
effective relationships with all involved in a child’s education is essential.
In return the school and Trust can offer enthusiastic and motivated pupils who want to learn and achieve alongside hardworking, dedicated and supportive staff and governors. There are numerous opportunities to
network with colleagues and develop professionally as well as feel personally supported.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged, applicants should contact Jo Bunting, School Manager, (recruitment@manorlodge.sheffield.sch.uk) to arrange a suitable time and date to visit.
